Factions vie for control of a contested island through area control and tactical combat. Players draft action dice to gain resources, deploy and move troops, and attack opponents while competing to hold key positions and score points. Each faction plays asymmetrically, with unique elite units and powerful once-per-game abilities that shape different strategies. The game supports competitive, cooperative, and solo modes, ends when a faction reaches the victory-point threshold or completes a scenario objective, and typically plays in about an hour after a brief 10–15 minute teach.
