Pairs in Pears

A word game with capital-letter tiles in four distinct patterns, treated like suits in a deck of cards. Players draw tiles from a pear-shaped cloth bag and build intersecting pairs of words, with one word running vertically and the other horizontally. The words share a vowel or consonant, and each word in a pair uses tiles of the same pattern. The first player to complete the required number of pairs wins. A scoring variant awards points for completed words, pattern-matching words, and finishing first.
