A traditional role-based game rooted in the customs of Indo-European civilizations. Players sit in a circle and secretly receive cards, with five special roles: King, Executioner, People, Charity, and Gallows. The King orders a punishment, the Executioner carries it out, the People attempt to depose the King with help from the Gallows, and Charity tries to prevent punishment. The King’s actions and other outcomes are resolved by casting a sheep’s ankle bone, known as a taba.
