Carcassonne: The Castle

A two-player tile-placement game set inside the city walls where players build streets, towers, houses and courtyards from a shared tile pool. Players place tiles to expand features and deploy followers—heralds on roads, knights on towers, squires on houses and merchants in courtyards—to score points as features complete. Movement around the castle wall acts as the scoring track, awarding bonuses to the first player to reach marked positions. All tiles must fit within the walls, creating tight placement puzzles. Endgame scoring includes the largest completed keep and unfilled interior spaces, while wall bonuses can modify normal scoring or grant points for unfinished structures.
