2014 · Card Game
Flip City
Build a town by playing double-sided cards directly from the top of a deck. Gain cash and victory points, then use cash to buy new cards or flip owned cards to their upgraded sides. Continue playing while managing unhappiness icons, as reaching three ends the turn. Upgraded cards provide stronger effects and can sometimes be flipped back for a one-time bonus. Gain eight or more victory points in a single turn to win.

Poteet6.0 It's fine, nothing special, but its not awful.
Evan2.5 This game was pretty weak. It's a cute idea in terms of being innovative with the whole deck-builder idea, but the options are too few and the way your turn can suddenly end due to card flips is more frustrating than fun. The thing about a city builder is also that I want to see the city unfold in front of me, and in this game you wipe it away and start again on your next turn. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
