2016 · Territory Building
Honshū
Players take the roles of feudal lords and ladies building a map of provinces in medieval Japan. Play proceeds over twelve rounds; each round begins with a trick where players play numbered map cards and the highest card wins priority to choose from those cards. Chosen map cards are then added to each player’s personal tableau to expand regions and create scoring opportunities. Players manage card play and turn order position to optimize placement and maximize points from connected provinces, resources, and features on their maps.
