Stratego
Two armies face off on a battlefield where each player secretly sets numbered officers, bombs, and a flag among their ranks. Pieces move one space at a time; when opposing pieces meet, their hidden ranks are revealed and the lower-ranked piece is removed. Special pieces include immobile bombs and a low-ranked spy that can defeat the top officer when attacking. Victory comes from capturing the opponent’s flag or immobilizing their forces. The game blends hidden placement, deduction, and positional maneuvering as players probe, bluff, and force encounters to reveal enemy strengths.
