Scopa

Players use a 40-card Italian deck to capture face-up cards on the table by playing cards whose values equal the sum of one or more table cards. Hands of three cards are dealt and players either make captures or add a card to the table when no capture is possible; cards are replenished in sets of three until the deck runs out. Scoring awards points for sweeping the table, capturing the most cards, capturing the most coins (the coin suit), taking the 7 of coins, and assembling the best primiera (one high-value card from each suit). Games typically continue until a target score is reached.
