The Gate of R'lyeh

Investigators race against a steadily advancing clock to reinforce the failing gate at R’lyeh and keep Cthulhu imprisoned. Hidden cultists work among them, but cultists do not know one another, and revealing one does not remove them from play. Players take turns contributing cards to four incantations, researching, gambling, investigating the incantation pool, or accusing suspected cultists. The clock advances after each round, while different actions and equipment affect players’ sanity. In desperate moments, the group can consult the Necronomicon, risking an immediate defeat.
