Tokugawa

Set in medieval Japan, two players recruit troops and maneuver them across provinces to capture the opposing capital. Each province has its own bank: taxes are collected only from controlled provinces, while troop purchases are paid into the bank of the province where recruitment takes place. This creates provinces with different levels of wealth, often making those near the front lines richer. Troop types have different movement ranges and fighting strengths.
