A fast-playing tactical wargame set in the early 19th century where players command period armies across a chessboard-sized, 64-space battlefield. Players choose from eight national forces, each represented by eight units and a 60-card national deck that encodes unit types and nation-specific strengths. Play alternates as units move on the geometric maps and resolve one-on-one combats using card-driven abilities and unit positioning. Victory comes from maneuvering forces, exploiting terrain on the modular maps, and leveraging the composition of the national deck to gain battlefield advantage.
