Axis Empires: Dai Senso! – World War II in Asia & the Pacific, 1937-45

A hex-based strategic wargame covering the Asia–Pacific conflict from 1937 border clashes through major battles and the end of the war. Players control one of three factions—Imperial Japan/Axis, Soviet Allies, or Western Allies—and use cards, mobilization, diplomacy and military operations to pursue national objectives across land, sea and air. Play advances through Pre-War (build and maneuver, diplomatic options), Limited War (open conflict begins) and Total War (full-scale strategic combat). The system adapts the Krieg! mechanics for unpredictability and strategic decision-making, and scenarios can be linked with a companion European game for a combined global campaign.
