Charlie's Year Redux

A two-player strategy game covering the Jacobite Rising of 1745–46 during the War of the Austrian Succession. One player commands the Jacobite forces, while the other directs the British Army across Scotland and England. Turns represent months and are divided into operations involving mobile forces, garrisoned fortifications, changing weather, and limited resources that may affect the wider war. Players choose where to feint or attack, then command individual battles by arranging forces, committing cavalry and reserves, or launching a Highland charge. The game includes a full campaign, shorter historical scenarios, individual battles, and variant victory conditions.
