An alternate faction for the trick-taking game Claim or Claim 2 focused on volatile inventors. Players add Tinkerer cards to their decks that can trigger a destructive effect during Phase 2. If a Tinkerer wins a trick by 4 or more, it “explodes”: the opponent’s card is removed from the game while the Tinkerer’s player still claims the trick and takes the opposing card. This changes hand management and long-term card availability, encouraging calculated risks and timing of large-margin wins.
