Deep Vents

Attack opponents as you develop a hydrothermal ecosystem and compete to hoard archaea. Draft and place geological and biological tiles, then grow them by adding archaea or trigger their effects to attack rivals, gain shells, move archaea to your supply, or reduce tiles to heat sources. Players must manage attacks and shortfall tokens while expanding their ecosystems. After eight rounds, or when only one player remains, points come from archaea and shells in reserve and archaea on tiles.
