Downfall of Empires

An army-level World War I strategy wargame that simulates operational decisions across 18 turns for 2–4 players representing the great powers. Players use a small set of actions each turn—recruit, activate (move and attack), research, entrench, conduct diplomacy, and launch air or tank missions—to raise, move and fight with armies, fortify positions, sway neutrals, and secretly develop technologies. Action availability differs by power, giving some sides three actions and others two; most actions are single-use per turn and recruiting must be the first action. Victory points come from controlling key cities and areas on the map, and the player or side with the most points after the final turn wins.
