Players recruit valiant defenders of an enchanted realm to repel invading mechanical Walking Castles. The game centers on risk-taking and hand management: each turn a player either scores their three-card hand (if scoring conditions are met) or draws one card and then discards one to try to improve the hand. Choices balance greed against conservation — drawing can build a stronger army but accelerates deck depletion, while scoring early secures points but may leave players underpowered against tougher invaders.
