Players lead a prehistoric tribe, managing resources, settlements and seasonal actions to develop their people across a shared map. This edition adds extra components that expand resource options and variety: additional fish, gathering and megalith tokens, new animal tokens, and customized markers for warriors, shaman, fishing, developments and ceremonies. It also introduces seven unique characters with special abilities that change decision space. A solo marauder mode provides a solo opponent board, tokens and six special map tiles to create asymmetric challenges for one to three players.
