Players act as entrepreneurs developing a seaside town over four seasons, moving around the city to acquire and improve property while accumulating wealth and prestige. Build cottages, upgrade them into Victorian homes and then historic landmarks, and open and expand shops into profitable businesses. Use activity cards to plan movement and actions, pursue bonus goals, and manage income and development through the year. End-of-game scoring rewards balanced strategies in development, movement, income, and personal objectives, with an additional thematic element for birdwatching at a notable local site.
