Fire in the Lake: Sovereign of Discord

Experience the early years of the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1963, before the major intervention of the United States and North Vietnam. New scenarios follow the conflict between the Viet Cong and ARVN, the rise of insurgency, and the fall of the Diem regime, with options to continue into the campaign covered by the base game. New mechanics include Strategic Hamlets, Hanoi and Washington aid tracks, advisor pieces, regime stability, coup events, 72 period Events, and a solitaire system. Additional Events and two short scenarios expand play in the base game to cover key periods from 1963 to 1969. A copy of Fire in the Lake is required to play.
