La Bataille d'Orthez

This historical wargame recreates the Battle of Orthez in February 1814, as Wellington’s forces attack Soult’s Army of the Pyrenees near the Gave de Pau River. Players maneuver infantry divisions across defensive high ground, coordinate their commands, and use artillery and limited cavalry in support. Command control is central to play, highlighting the British command structure and French reliance on strong terrain and interior lines. The game includes a main battle scenario, several smaller scenarios, and optional rules for added variation in face-to-face or solitaire play. Each hex represents 100 meters, with turns covering 20 minutes and units representing regiments or brigades.
