Monster Pit

Players take the roles of loyal Captains organizing forces to defend the Citadel against a rising monster threat. The game combines dice drafting, tableau building, hand management and worker-placement–style actions as players recruit soldiers, wizards, heroes, mounts and wyverns, visit locations (Armoury, Town Hall, Dwarven Grotto, Fountain) and resolve quests to bolster offense and defense. Custom dice are rolled and mitigated, while large player tableaus track characters and resources. Play supports solo true-solitaire, fully cooperative multiplayer, and asymmetrical modes where one player controls the monster; multiple monsters and adjustable difficulty provide replay variation.
