Adds three new challenges that increase the difficulty and variety of play. Introduces an animal-to-human transmission variant, unpredictable emergency events, and a fifth “superbug” disease that cannot be treated normally. New roles, event cards, and quarantine mechanics support these modes. Players work together to manage outbreaks, research cures, deploy quarantines, and, in the superbug mode, develop and produce vaccine doses to eradicate the untreatable pathogen.

An interesting expansion, both makes it easier with the wild regions which make exchanging cards and moving long distances much quicker but more difficult with other cards and a change in balance
