Vaerun the High Elf Envoy is waiting for an important package that should have arrived on the last coach. When the coach, the package, and its escort, Rutger, are all a day late, Vaerun and Road Warden Birgitta investigate, joined by the Dwarf Troll Slayer Kurgi Balginson, who seeks to repay an honour debt.
