A heavily armored melee unit that embodies brutal, intimidating fighters from the north. Models wield large two-handed flails that ignore or reduce the effectiveness of enemy shields and deliver powerful attacks in close combat. The unit forces opposing models to take Panic Tests when attempting melee attacks against them, reflecting their fearsome reputation. Adding a specialized unit attachment grants the Blackguards the ability to recover Wounds whenever a nearby enemy fails a Panic Test while engaged with them, increasing their resilience during prolonged fights.
