Players take on magi of the Order of Hermes and their companions and grogs in 13th-century Mythic Europe, where war, plague, the Church, faeries, demons, spirits, and divine power shape everyday life. Using troupe play, players portray a portfolio of characters at different levels of ability while developing a covenant that serves as their home, fortress, and laboratory. Magi undertake adventures, conduct research, and wield powerful magic, with the covenant providing the central setting for their activities.
