Badlands

Players take on individual adventurers who arrive in a newly discovered realm to seek wealth, power, and titles. Each player selects a race and profession, then explores a modular board, travels to distant regions, accepts quests, and battles monsters using dice-driven movement and combat. Progression occurs through completing quests, defeating encounters, gaining items and experience, and constructing city expansions and a personal castle that generate resources and bonuses. Risk increases with distance from the central city, and a roaming Great Dragon presents a persistent high-threat objective. The game supports solo or competitive play for up to three players, includes card-driven quests and encounters, modular buildings and markers, and an endgame goal of achieving the top rank and completing a city.
