An ordinary traveler in Europe discovers a hidden magical heritage after escaping a sorcerous sacrifice. The resulting explosion marks him as the alchemical menace Catalyst, drawing heroes into a conflict involving sorcery, alchemy, and dangerous supernatural forces. This adventure for a superhero roleplaying game has players investigate the incident, confront its captors, and deal with the consequences of newly awakened powers.
