Corsairs and Hellcats

A supplement covering aerial combat in the Pacific from mid-1942 to early 1945, adding late-war Allied and Japanese aircraft, new bomber types, and campaign options to the core system. Players field expanded card decks and counters to fly fighters, attack bombers, and heavy bombers, equip ordnance, assign skilled or green crews, and resolve air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. New mechanics include kamikaze attacks, supply drops, submarines, mine-laying, and a method for tracking changing pilot quality over the course of campaigns. Seven campaigns recreate carrier battles, island and land campaigns, a drawn-out Guadalcanal air war with linked carrier actions, and a solitaire B-29 campaign focused on training, logistics, repairs, and bombing missions.
