Crits & Tricks

Crits & Tricks is a board game for 1–4 players. It plays in 20–45 minutes and is meant for ages 14 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4.

Players gather at a tavern table to pursue rotating quests and loot through a trick-taking engine. Each round, players draft quest cards that set specific objectives and roll RPG dice to assign values to numberless cards, then play those cards with mercenary figures from distinct classes. Classes determine how tricks are won and grant a CRIT ability that can modify dice, card values, or outcomes. A round-level Barkeep challenge rewards extra loot for meeting trick thresholds, while successful quests and opponent interactions shift wealth and rivalries. The game cycles through drafting, dice assignment, trick resolution, and scoring until a final tally determines the winner.
