A 30-card deck provides tangible tokens for tracking experience points in the Cypher System. Players gain XP by making discoveries, facing unexpected challenges, and responding to events during play rather than simply defeating enemies. XP can be spent to reroll a result for themselves or another player, or saved for character advancement.
