Dark Heresy

Players take the roles of Acolytes serving the Inquisition in the grim darkness of the far future. They investigate heresy, alien threats, and the corrupting influence of Chaos across distant planets, ancient space hulks, and the depths of under-hive cities. The roleplaying system covers social encounters, fast-paced combat, psychic powers, insanity, and mutation. Characters begin with quick creation and develop through an expanded advanced careers system, using weapons ranging from lasguns and inferno pistols to chainswords and power blades. The core rules include background for the Calixis Sector and a starting adventure.
