Eastern Front

A grim roleplaying game set on the Eastern Front of World War II, where underfed, cold, sick, and frightened soldiers struggle to survive in the frozen steppes. Players portray poorly trained draftees facing overwhelming enemies with limited equipment, while dealing with hunger, fear, comradeship, ideology, and the authority of political commissars. The rules support small-scale combat, improvised tactics, and dramatic actions rather than mass battles. The game master adjudicates weapon ranges and other situations, leaving room for careful planning, desperate heroism, and character-driven play amid battles such as Stalingrad, Kursk, and the siege of Leningrad.
