Elminster's Ecologies
This set presents an ecological guide to the continent of Faerûn, describing diverse environments and the organisms found within them. It includes an Explorer’s Manual and eight booklets written by specialists, each covering a different ecological niche. The manual explains how the booklets are organized, includes an excerpt on Realmsian biodiversity, and provides color-coded encounter tables with instructions for using them. It also introduces the Rules of the Rabbit, which offer guidance for interpreting and using the material during adventures.
