Federation & Empire: Advanced Operations

Adds an extensive expansion of ships, units and rules to the base campaign, increasing tactical and strategic options. New ship classes include fast warships, heavy war destroyers, dreadnoughts carrier variants, penal ships, and oversized fighter squadrons, plus specialized units such as X-ships, fast drones and flagship escort groups. Introduces new mechanics for raids, battlegroups, admirals (command and control), scouts, neutral zones, and modified fighter accounting; bases can be constructed without fighters and CVAs can convert fighters into Space Control Ships. Includes a scenario booklet covering six major battles, a 26-page ship reference table and hundreds of counters for the new units.
