Players take the role of a Special Forces A Team member organizing and training a Montagnard village in the Central Highlands of the Republic of Viet Nam. Daily village events are determined using a 2d100 table covering common occurrences, ceremonies, and Viet Cong-planted rumors. Patrols with Montagnard Strikers use new contact tables for terrain, patrol timing, and Viet Cong and NVA activity along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, including randomly generated tunnel systems.
