Heaven Over the Castro

Set in 1980s San Francisco, this game follows eight people as they explore queerness, spirituality, prayer, friendship and desire. The stories include a young man who believes he is chosen by God, a defrocked priest, a drag queen trying to become a better father, and a spirit of lights spreading love and passion. The story unfolds through a series of two-person scenes, most of which take place simultaneously at separate tables. Players act and speak as their characters in a format combining live-action roleplaying and tabletop roleplaying, with intersecting storylines, improbable meetings and fantastic visions.
