In the kingdom of Kumari, death stalks the daylight. Mummified figures known as the Fallen perform manual labor while living citizens emerge at dusk and conduct their lives through the night. As tensions rise with a city-state across the bay, the Queen seeks outsiders to undertake a task her people cannot.
