Löwenherz

Princes compete for control of the kingdom while the king nears death, expanding domains and securing territory to claim the throne. Each round reveals a card with three possible actions; players secretly bid 1, 2 or 3 to take the corresponding action, so one of four players is excluded each turn. Players who pick the same action must negotiate a shared outcome or resolve the conflict with a duel. The board consists of six randomly placed tiles inside a frame. Players place and connect castles and walls to form kingdoms and recruit knights to defend and contest areas, aiming to control the most territory through area control, negotiation and direct conflict.
