Marco Volo: Departure

This Forgotten Realms adventure for four to eight characters of levels 6–8 begins with an intrigue-filled journey from Waterdeep to Shadowdale. The party becomes entangled with Marcus Wands, a troublesome rogue posing as Marco Volo, and is arrested after unintentionally aiding his schemes. To secure their release, the characters must deliver an important letter to Shadowdale while taking Marcus along as their guide. Along the way, they encounter a stolen planar artifact, a hired mage-assassin, mistaken identities, competing fortune hunters, brawls, and dangerous rides. The adventure follows the party from Waterdeep to the Way Inn in a light-hearted, fast-moving tale of deception and pursuit.
