Command a technologically advanced 19th-century submarine on a year-long cruise of exploration and conflict. Players navigate oceans, undertake adventures from an encounter deck, manage ship systems and crew, and resolve combat and hazards using counters and markers. The campaign tracks weekly time, mission objectives and long-term goals, with an epilogue that records consequences and score. The game supports solo play and emphasizes narrative choices, resource management and risk versus reward as the submarine pursues discoveries, polar expeditions and confrontations with other vessels and sea monsters.
