Postmodern: Skill Groups

An alternate skill-selection system for Modern d20 characters, grouping related abilities such as moving silently and hiding or riding and handling animals. Characters gain access to skill groups based on their classes, occupations, and advanced classes, while still allowing exceptions and individual specialization. The rules also introduce Skill Challenges, which represent expert performance of routine tasks and allow characters to attempt extraordinary deeds by taking on more difficult skill checks.
