Players lead raiding crews against fortified townships and rival jarls on the battlefield. The game adds an expanded township board, enemy jarl tokens and cards, and new townsfolk that change available actions and encounters. Combat with jarls awards fame but inflicts damage, so players balance risk and reward while recruiting crew, gathering resources, and planning raids. Component support for an additional player increases player count and interaction.
