Rubies of the Black Flame

The King’s Guard has captured the leader of the realm’s most powerful assassins’ guild, and the guild has retaliated by kidnapping the King’s daughter. After ransom demands and a brutal exchange, the King prepares an army to destroy the Society of the Black Flames. The characters are concerned with a different prize: a chest containing exactly 50 rare flame rubies. They must recover the gems by any means necessary, clearing their debt and earning a 10,000 gp bonus if they succeed. Designed for 12th-level characters.
