Players develop a Southern California beach neighborhood by drafting feature cards to add to either their beach or their street. Features interact with one another to generate points, so players balance attracting tourists, preserving a calm natural shoreline, or appealing to locals to maximize scoring. Turns consist of choosing from a common display and placing cards to optimize combos between beach and street areas; the player with the most victory points at the end wins.

A light tableau-building game with a very pleasant theme. PROS - There is a good balance between different things you need to achieve during the game. It asks for enough different things to give players a sense of agency. - It feels light and relaxed, giving vibes pretty close to its theme. It is easy to teach and learn. - Its replayability feels good. There are enough different cards, objectives and abilities to have a lot of different games. - The art, graphic design and overall production are a home run. CONS - The box is WAY bigger than needed, it feels ridiculous. - Some iconography can be a bit confusing.
