The Assassin's Knot
The baron of Restenford has been murdered, and rumors point to the supposedly peaceful town of Garrotten, headquarters of a deadly band of assassins. With the castle sealed and magical restoration impossible, investigators follow three slender clues: a small ruby, a leather button, and a lute string. They travel to Garrotten, questioning suspects and unraveling a web of intrigue to identify the killer and uncover the truth behind the assassination.
