The Primal State

A 1920s Call of Cthulhu campaign set primarily in Vermont, where investigators encounter the eerie legends and decaying traditions of New England. Witches, burial mounds, legendary monsters, headless specters, cloven hoof prints, and Old Scratch appear amid a subtle but challenging Mythos atmosphere. The campaign contains three connected scenarios—“Invitation to the Dance,” “The Beast of Lake Champlain,” and “Home, Sweet Home”—linked by the framing scenario “The Sap Keeps Running,” presented in four parts.
