The Third World War: Battle for Germany

A hypothetical 1980s conflict between NATO and Warsaw Pact forces unfolds across Germany and neighboring regions. Players command divisions, independent regiments and brigades from fifteen nations on a hex map scaled to 45 kilometers per hex that spans from Denmark to Yugoslavia and Italy to Poland. Turns use multi-impulse sequencing that includes NATO reserve movement and Pact echeloning. Air units represent groups of roughly 100 aircraft by type and carry ratings for air superiority, close support and strike missions.
