The Vault of Evil Opened

This adventure for 4–6 good-aligned characters of 6th–9th level introduces the villain Melengar and the dangerous Rod of Ruin to an ongoing campaign. The characters investigate signs that an evil force has recovered an ancient artifact, uncovering clues about its history and the threat it poses without necessarily confronting either Melengar or the rod. The scenario can lead into further adventures involving research and an eventual assault on Melengar’s catacombs, or it can be adapted for standalone play with adjusted encounters and an alternate ending. The ZIP archive typically includes the adventure document and two map image files.
