플레이어들은 섬 왕국의 정예 경비대에 합류하기 위해 5일간의 토너먼트에 참가하는 젊은 영웅이 돼. 매 턴 영웅은 장소 사이를 이동하고, 자원이나 보너스를 얻기 위한 행동을 하며, 아레나 도전에 등록하고, 턴을 최대한 활용할 수 있도록 도착 시간을 조절해. 아레나에서 플레이어들은 장소와 연관된 도전에 도전하고, 폴드에서는 싸워야 할 몬스터들이 등장해. 도전을 완료하고 몬스터와 싸우면 집중력, 정신력, 회복력, 시너지 네 가지 특성이 상승하며, 챔피언 보드에서의 순위에도 영향을 줘. 5라운드가 끝나면 완료한 도전, 특성 수치, 챔피언 보드에서의 위치, 물리친 몬스터 수를 기준으로 점수를 계산해 승자를 결정해.

Dice rolling game with a mild worker placement aspect involved. PROS - Very nice solitaire puzzle, with just the right amount of randomness keeping it interesting. - Good thematical implementation. The theme makes sense and you can relate to it through the mechanics. - Amazing, gorgeous, fantastic art and production overall. CONS - Waiting for your turn is not fun and turns are longer than they should be, so the more people playing the less fun each player has. - It feels cluttered, the design has too many elements for how simple the game actually is underneath them. - The deluxe box has a stupid size and proportions.
There's a lot of pieces and complexity for the amount of game. But it was enjoyable. The theme worked really well.
